The Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO) together with the Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU Berlin) and the Council for Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural Research (ATSAF) will conduct within the Marie-Curie Programme the Fourth Green Week Scientific Conference titled: Challenges of Education and Innovation on the 13th and 14th of January 2010 at the ICC International Congress Centre in Berlin.
The conference will concentrate on innovation processes in agriculture linked to the spread of knowledge in rural areas. The conference will provide a special forum for early stage researchers to build contactswith their peers from across Europe and leading researchers. Especially young scientists are expected to play an active role at the conference.

Deadline for submitting full papers is October 16th, 2009.
The organizers invite junior researchers, engaged in post-graduate or post-doctoral studies from EU, Associated States, as well as third countries to present and discuss their research projects and findings. Particularly young scientists from Central and Eastern European countries are encouraged to apply. Participation of researchers from all agricultural and social science disciplines is envisaged.
The conference participation fee is 100 Euro. The European Community provides limited financial support to eligible participants which covers parts of their travel, accommodation and subsistence costs including the fee for the conference participation.
