Application round for international climate protection fellowship for young leaders and postdocs from non-European emerging and developing countries launched.
Funding is available for up to 20 young leaders and postdocs from non-European emerging economies and developing countries who have already gained some professional and leadership experience in science or practical contexts. Fellows come to Germany for a period of 12-24 months to carry out a project they have chosen themselves together with their hosts. Applicants should choose themes that revolve around combatting climate change, adaptation strategies, conserving ecosystems and biodiversity or the sustainable use of seas and oceans.
The current call is open until 1 February 2023. The fellowship will begin on 1 March 2024. The fellowships are financed under the International Climate Initiative (IKI) which became the responsibility of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) in 2022.
