Digital Green Talents Award 2024: High Potentials in Sustainable Development

Deadline: 15.05.2024 Research stays Other calls

Young researchers from all over the world who are working at the intersection of digitalisation and sustainability have until 15 May to apply. The prize consists of a fully-funded three-month research stay in Germany.

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) hosts the "Digital GreenTalents - High Potentials in Sustainable Development" Award to promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas in the field of digitalization and sustainability. It focuses on how digitalization can promote greater sustainability in science and society. With the Green Talents competition, the BMBF has been promoting the exchange of innovative green ideas and the development of international collaborations since 2009. The award does not fund research projects, but aims to foster individual development. A high-level jury of German experts will help the ministry in selecting 20 high-potentials to be honored as this year's "Digital GreenTalents".

In November 2024, an online awards ceremony will be held. In 2025, all Digital GreenTalents are invited to come to Germany for a fully-funded research stay and meet each other at the Digital GreenTalent SpringSchool. The time and duration of the research stay (up to three months) can be arranged individually by each awardee, but is usually linked in time with the SpringSchool.

The deadline for applications is 15 May 2024.
