Biomimetics is an interdisciplinary scientific discipline in natural and engineering sciences. It ranks among the most important future technologies. Developments in biomimetics often provide innovative and novel solutions for technical problems inspired by nature.
The International Bionic Award honors excellent works, for example a biomimetic or bionic product development, a bachelor thesis, a dissertation or a habilitation that has been completed within the last two years before the submission deadline (February 17, 2023). Both individuals and teams can participate. An international jury of top-ranking scientists in biomimetics will determine the International Bionic Award Winner or Winners.
