Junior Experts Exchange Program 2020 for Japanese Young Scientists

Since a couple of years, young scientists from Japan and Germany are invited for a 8 days-visiting program to the other country. The Junior Experts Exchange Program provides an opportunity for natural scientists to get first-hand information of the research structure, scientific and technological developments by visits to research institutions and companies, contacts to other scientists in related fields of research etc. The call for Japanese scientists wanting to go to Germany is open until April 15, 2020.

The program is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Japan) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany).

In 2019/20, the Junior Experts Exchange Program will focus on “Medical Biotechnology, especially Cancer and Alzheimer research”.

Invited are up to 8 Japanese young researchers (under 40) from research institutes and companies. The program in Germany will take place from June 13 to June 21, 2020, a workshop with German alumni of the program is planned for June 20.

Deadline for application is April 15, 2020; applications must be submitted in English.
