Postponed: Slovenian-Bavarian Scientific Forum in Regensburg

Duration: 18.06.20 - 19.06.20 City: Regensburg Country: Germany

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be postponed

The Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and BAYHOST (Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe) jointly organize a Slovenian-Bavarian Scientific Forum in Regensburg on 18-19 June 2020. The Slovenian-Bavarian Scientific Forum aims at initiating further academic cooperation, especially in research, and strengthening already existing partnerships.

A study on the potential of cooperation between economy and science in the new EU member states in Central and Southeastern Europe in 2017 came to the conclusion that Slovenia was the only country that could be characterized as a “strong innovator”.

The program includes a meeting of vice-rectors for research and international affairs, three research workshops in the fields of chemistry, materials sciences and humanities and social sciences, an introduction to the Slovenian and Bavarian system of higher education and research as well as information on European funding opportunities.

The preliminary program and the online application form can be found on the BAYHOST website.
