TIB – Leibniz Information Center for University Libraries (Germany) is organizing an online panel discussion on “Perspectives on Academic Freedom” on 25. October 2024. The event is part of the Third International Conference "Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2024", which will be held online from 24. - 25. October 2024. The conference is part of the German Year of Science 2024 – Academic Freedom and is organized with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
During the panel discussion, key researchers and experts in the field of philosophy of science and higher education from Ukraine and Germany will discuss topical issues related to academic freedom and compare the scientific systems of both countries. The event aims to explore how academic freedom is realized in different contexts and what it means for the development of scientific communities in Ukraine and Germany.
