Workshop: Bio-Economy in Eastern Europe – Focussing Biorefineries & Biofuels

The East-West-Science Centre Hessen (OWWZ), University of Kassel, coordinates cooperation with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in the fields of Biotechnology and Environmental Technologies – funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Science.

In this context on June 18 the OWWZ together with the Association of German Biotechnology Companies (VBU) and the Russian A.N. Bach Institute of Biochemistry organize the Workshop -Bio-Economy in Eastern Europe as part of the exhibition congress BiobasedWorld focussing biomass, bio-based chemicals, biofuels, biogas and biorefinery during the ACHEMA  2012 (18 - 22 June) in Frankfurt a.M.

The thematic focus of the event will be on Bio-Economy primarily focussing aspects like biorefineries and biofuels.

Institutions and enterprises from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine will present their fields of work and are ready to discuss potential cooperation.

Participation in the event is free of charge. The whole workshop is supported by the DECHEMA e.V. - Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.
