New look for an internationally successful project – Relaunch of the EUROSTUDENT website

A new design for the EUROSTUDENT website has recently been developed and is now available online. The aim of the new website is to provide all project-related information as well as the most important results in a well-arranged manner to the members of the EUROSTUDENT network, to researchers, policy-makers and the wider public.

Besides a presentation of the project and the project organisation, the website provides information about the members and partners of the EUROSTUDENT network. All relevant documents and publications are available for downloading. A new database gives an overview of all the events of the network. Members of EUROSTUDENT can directly access the internal area via the website. The new design is characterised by its simple elegance. It re-uses the compass rose, an element which has become a symbol of EUROSTUDENT publications over recent years and which represents the international orientation of the project as well as its international appeal.

The aim of EUROSTUDENT is to provide information and data on the social and economic conditions of student life in Europe. Furthermore, it analyses aspects of international mobility during study programmes. Work began in the late 1990s. At regular intervals EUROSTUDENT publishes “National Profiles” that provide an in-depth insight into the situation in the member countries. The “Synopsis of Indicators” gives an indicator-based international comparison of the national results. The fourth round of EUROSTUDENT began in November 2008 and will be completed in October 2011. 25 European countries are actively contributing to the project. The HIS-Institute for Research on Higher Education in Hanover, Germany, is responsible for the management of the consortium.
