The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) is the main European policy forum for innovation and regional development. It brings together regional, national and European innovation experts and stakeholders, including public organisations, policymakers, research communities, enterprises and non-governmental organisations to exchange views on the role of research and innovation in solving societal challenges. This annual conference is always hosted in a region chosen by the EU Member State providing the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU). This year, the North-East Regional Development Agency (Romania) will host the 10th edition of WIRE X 2019 in Iasi.
Participants will explore options for advancing research and innovation policies to address the challenges societies are facing today.
