IMI2 - Zweite Aufforderung zur Einreichung von Vorschlägen für 2014

Die Europäische Kommission hat die zweite Aufforderung zur Einreichung von Vorschlägen für IMI2 veröffentlicht. Schwerpunktthemen sind Ebola und andere filovirale hämorrhagische Fieber.

IMI 2 - Call 2 2014 - Ebola and other filoviral haemorrhagic fevers

The topics of the proposed IMI2 Ebola and other filoviral haemorrhagic fevers programme (the Ebola+ programme) cover actions that will address short term challenges of the current epidemic as well as actions needed to address EVD and other filoviral haemorrhagic fevers in a sustainable way for the long-term (see also conclusions from the high level WHO meeting on Ebola Vaccines Access and Financing of 23 October 20144). To address the present challenges of the ongoing epidemic, the following topics are launched in the current Call for proposals in a fast track single-stage procedure:

  • Topic 1: Vaccine development Phase I, II, and III
  • Topic 2: Manufacturing capability
  • Topic 3: Stability of vaccines during transport and storage
  • Topic 4: Deployment and compliance of vaccination regimens
  • Topic 5: Rapid diagnostic tests

The indicative IMI2 JU financial contribution for the 5 topics mentioned in this Call is up to €140 million. EFPIA companies are expected to provide an in-kind contribution of around €140 million.

Key dates

Call launch: 6 November 2014
Submission deadline: 1 December 2014 at 17:00 CET (Central European Time / Brussels time)

This Call is being run in a single stage, fast-track procedure. Notification of outcomes of the evaluations: maximum 2 months from deadline for submitting proposals Signature of Grant Agreements: maximum 1 month from the date of informing successful applicants.

How to apply

As this Call is being run in a single stage, fast-track procedure, Applicant Consortia should prepare a Full Proposal directly based on the proposal template. Full Proposals must be submitted via the IMI electronic submission tool SOFIA (Submission OF Information Application). No other means of submission will be accepted. To access SOFIA, Applicant Consortium Coordinators will need to complete a Request for Access to the tool.

SOFIA will be opened for submission of proposals on 22 November 2014 and will close at the submission deadline on 1 December at 17:00 CET. The proposal may be updated online prior to the submission deadline. Please note that the submit button must be pressed to submit the proposal for evaluation.

Meanwhile, candidates are invited to consult the IMI2 RIA/IA Proposal template  (Word version ) and the IMI2 RIA/IA Evaluation form  for guidance when preparing proposals.
