Europ. Kommission: Forschungs- und Innovationskooperation mit Nordmazedonien

North Macedonia participates in the EU Research and Innovation programmes since 2007. North Macedonia’s strengths in Horizon 2020 are in the fields of Energy and in Health. North Macedonia invests in the setup of Technology Parks and Business Accelerators, which is reflected in the relative high number of participants in the Innovation in SMEs part of Horizon 2020. North Macedonia’s new programme for higher education and scientific research foresees actions to strengthen research capacity in line with the European Research Area priorities. These efforts are complemented by the development of a Smart Specialisation Strategy.
