Fondo para la Normalización y Certificación de la Calidad (FONDONORMA) is an organization recognized by the Venezuelan Government, to which national standardization activities have been authorized through Ministerial Resolution DM No. 370, issued by the Ministry of Production and Trade (at present, the Ministry of Trade) and published in the Venezuelan Official Gazette of 18 November 2003.
FONDONORMA is constituted by all those firms, individuals and private as well as public institutions with a particular interest in standardization and quality matters. It is responsible for the preparation of Venezuelan Standards and offers product and management system certification services, as well as training in standardization and quality.
