In 2013 the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) launched the ResearchItaly portal with the aim to give a picture of, support and promote excellent Italian research.
During 2016, the portal has been updated also in view of the strategic innovations introduced by the National Research Programme 2014-2020 in order to turn it from an information portal into a service portal aimed at the research community and citizens.
The portal is available in Italian and English.
- It features news, great projects, success stories, contributions and interviews concerning the Italian world of research and its international collaborations.
- The project is intended to be the connecting point of Italian scientific information coming from the twelve public research bodies supervised by MIUR, the universities and other public and private research centres operating in Italy, with the purpose of promoting the best Italian production in the various fields of knowledge.
- ResearchItaly provides information about funding sources, calls, job opportunities, awards and the most important Italian and European events in scientific research.
- It is now also used as an authoritative source by media: newspapers of national interest and major press agencies.
