Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development is a foundation with 30 years of experience in development cooperation. I is a non-profit-based organization and forms part of the corporate responsibility portfolio of Novartis.
The foundation has consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC) and contributes to UN objectives in particular.
As a foundation it does not issue grants, that is to say it participates actively in the implementation of the health initiatives it supports by lending both financial and technical assistance. Therefore unsolicited project proposals are not accepted.
