Panama: Bildungsministerium

The Ministry of Education of Panama (MEDUCA) is the government institution responsible for the education system in Panama. It was created following the adoption of the constitution of 2 January 1941, which led to the creation of Latin American-style state ministries. Its functions are: to promote education; to ensure access to basic education for the entire population; to stimulate research, both scientific and technological, and artistic creation; and to protect the nation's cultural heritage.
