Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT, engl. Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology) is a public foundation under the Ministry of Science and Innovation in Spain. FECYT was founded in 2001 with the aim to strengthen the link between science and society through actions that promote open and inclusive science, scientific culture and education, responding to the needs and challenges of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System.
The foundation collaborates with other actors of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System in the internationalisation of Spanish science and the generation and analysis of data, and provides support in the management of scientific information and open science.
