Zeitraum: 19.05.2015 Ort: Berlin Land: Deutschland

In 2015, France will be hosting and presiding the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21/CMP11). The objective of COP21 is to reach a new international agreement on climate which applies to all countries, including France and Germany. With common objectives in the field of energy such as consumption reduction, better use, and reduction of greenhouse gases, both have specific assets in this domain which call for closer cooperation, notably within the European Union.

During this symposium, after an introduction of both governments’ Energy policies, fields of research and concrete examples will be presented and discussed in round tables. Speakers will include representatives from the French and the German government, European institutions, as well as public and private actors of the R&I.

The symposium will allow to review the different research structures and experiences in these fields, with a view to finding new synergies exchanging best practices. French and German research actors will present and discuss their contribution to the energy policy of their country. Further information, as well as the agenda of the symposium will be provided in due course.
