The main aim of the 4th FOODSEG Symposium is to offer a platform for personal meetings and discussions on future cooperations and common projects along the whole feed and food chain in order to secure food safety and quality for the consumers. Within the last three symposia more than 350 experts exchanged and discussed relevant topics along the feed and food chain and several cooperative projects have been launched.
The programme for the 4th symposium is based on a two-day event with talks by well-experienced scientists and decision-makers in the area of agriculture, feed, food, consumers - all along the feed and food chain. It further is a place to present selected EU Funded research projects in the area to discuss their research results and findings. Posters on EU funded research projects are welcome to be presented during the event.
The annual FOODSEG Symposium 2015 will be held in Rome, Italy, on 23 and 24 April 2015.

FOODSEG network 2014+ is a follow up network based on the completed FP7 project 'FOODSEG', which was focused on identifying problems and risks all along the foodchain. New ideas to tackle a variety of challenges in the food safety and quality have been developed, a variety of scientific expertise encountered each other and this comprehensive approach turned out to be successful.
