Conference "Boosting Social Enterprises in Europe"
The conference, that will take place on 3 and 4 December at Hémicycle, is organised by the Luxembourg Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy. Its overarching Theme is: “Boosting Social Enterprises in Europe”
The agenda is structured around the following key questions:
- How do we create social innovation? How can we systematically integrate social innovation in the creation of economic activities?
- Which eco-system is best suited to promote access to finance for Social Enterprises? Is there a way to connect individual savings to social economy projects?
Simultaneous translation in five languages will be provided.

Social innovation investor's fair
The EIB (European Investment Bank) Institute and the European Commission invite you to participate in the 2015 Investor’s Fair to be held in Luxembourg on 3 December from 9.00 to 10.30 at the premises of the EIB. The event is organised as part of the 2-day conference on Boosting Social Enterprises in Europe.
Twelve exceptional projects have been chosen from finalists of the Social Innovation Tournament and the Social Innovation Competition to showcase European social impact projects. These projects are seeking investment to reach their targets.
The event will be moderated by Hedda Pahlson-Moller (OMSINT|TIIME) and the entrepreneurs will have a ‘counter-pitch’ by an experienced social investor/venture philanthropist.
