The expression of recombinant proteins is a standard technology. Despite this, still often the developmental success to produce a protein in high yield and quality is often unsatisfying and takes a lot of labor and time. The symposium "New Expression Systems and Technologies" in the series Consistent Bioprocess Development is directed to these challenges and discusses new expression systems and strategies as a base for a systematic and successful developmental project.
