Each laureate will be selected by an independent international jury for her significant scientific achievements and contributions to the advancement of her field. The winners will each receive a 100.000 EUR award and will be honoured at a ceremony in Paris (France) in June 2026 (date to be confirmed).
The candidate must be recognized for her scientific excellence by the international scientific community, be actively involved in scientific research, and work in any field of Life and Environmental Sciences. One candidate will be selected for each of the five regions, the determining factor being the place of work for at least 10 years, not the nationality of the candidate.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their significant scientific contributions, the impact of their research, recognition by peers within their discipline through publications, and on the recognition of the candidate’s
commitment to education, teaching activities, mentoring and/or to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals more broadly.
Multiple nominations and re-nominations are welcome. To submit a nomination, it is necessary to register and complete the process via the For Women in Science platform. All nominations must be submitted online by 4. July 2025.
