German universities and research institutions at the 14th European Career Fair

More than 30 German universities, research institutions and funding agencies will come together as a “German Cluster” to introduce themselves and their activities at the upcoming European Career Fair in Boston.

The European Career Fair, one of the largest transatlantic career fairs in the U.S., will take place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 29 to February 1, 2010. Now in its 14th year, the annual event matches candidates from America’s leading universities with the top echelon of employers from Europe.

On Sunday, January 31, the German exhibitors will hold an information session, titled "New Initiatives – More Opportunities," at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge. This event will feature two workshops for graduate students, postdoctoral candidates, and junior faculty.
Workshop 1 will explain “How to Find a Postdoc, Young Investigator and Faculty Position in Germany”, while Workshop 2 will focus on “Earning a PhD in Germany”.
The event is open to anyone interested in studying and researching in Germany. The workshops will be conducted in English. The event is free, but registration is required.

Candidates who wish to participate are asked to register in advance at www.research-in-germany.de/ecf2010

We invite all interested students, researchers and journalists to the German Cluster on Saturday, January 30 (9 am – 5 pm), and the information session on Sunday, January 31 (9 am – 12:30 pm).
