Stichtag: 18.08.2025 Sonstige Ausschreibungen

The symposium aims to incentivise and establish international engagement and collaboration between researchers working in Germany and the India in a broad range of disciplines, thereby encouraging the exchange of ideas across disciplinary and national boundaries. From 11. - 14. March 2026, participants will gather at the Forschungszentrum Jülich and the Dorint Hotel Düren, Germany.

During the symposium, participants will engage in cross-disciplinary discussions about the following four session topics and their interlinkages:

  • Building Climate-Resilient Infrastructure: Engineering for an Uncertain Future
  • Engineering Circular Bioeconomies: Regenerative Agriculture for a Sustainable Future
  • Ethics, Accountability, and Intellectual Property in Engineering Innovation
  • Semiconductor Technologies for ’Big’ Data and ’Small’ Energy

There will also be considerable time for networking among the researchers. In addition, all participants will have the opportunity to present their work with a poster.

After the symposium, all participants can apply for funding through the follow-up programme CONNECT to carry out future joint research activities with participants from the partner country. CONNECT provides residence allowances for short working visits up to 30 days to Germany or India that can be taken up at any time following the symposium.

Applications may be submitted online until 18. August 2025. Participants must work at a research institution or in the industry sector in Germany, have obtained their PhD no more than 15 years prior to the symposium, and be fluent in both spoken and written English. Final decisions will be communicated by late September or early October 2025.
