The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) plays a central role in shaping and delivering a strong New Zealand economy. The Ministry develops and delivers policy, services, advice and regulation to support business growth and the prosperity and wellbeing of all New Zealanders.
MBIE integrates the functions of four former agencies – the Department of Building and Housing, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Department of Labour and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
